Acadiana West Animal Clinic is a full facility veterinary hospital with a wonderfully run boarding facility at the Manhattan location. Our kennel manager is Randy Anderson-Orr, who has been at the helm for over 10 years. Leave town and leave the gang with us comfortably knowing that they are being well cared for by our loving staff.

Our philosophy at Acadiana West is pets first, but we never forget there is an entire family that comes with that pet. Our goal is to practice high quality medicine at an affordable price while allowing our staff to enjoy a rewarding career both financially and emotionally. Our practice is a small family of caring and committed people and your pets are our passion. Most of our team members have been with the practice for many years.

Dental Care

We cannot emphasize enough the importance of routine dental care. Our well-trained staff is capable of performing routine dental prophylaxis while our doctors handle the anesthetic protocols. Nasty plaque build-up is removed to prevent gum recession and disease further down the road. All necessary extractions are done then the remaining teeth are polished and sealed.

Diagnostics

Acadiana West Animal Clinic's analyzers allow us to provide a diagnosis within minutes allowing you to wait for results and not make a second trip. A small amount of blood drawn by our trained assistants or our doctors is placed in our analyzers right away so a speedy diagnosis allows us to form a plan of action and get started quickly to care for your pet.

Radiology & Surgery

We do both orthopedic (bone) and soft tissue radiology at our Barataria location. Many fractures, dislocations or foreign objects in bad places can be quickly and affordably diagnosed. Surgical repair or intervention can usually be handled by any of our doctors here at Acadiana West Animal Clinic. If not, we have daily contact with several board certified surgeons in the surrounding area.
